The Italy national women’s team will be playing in their fourth FIFA World Cup finals in July, which will be held in Australia and New Zealand.
Milena Bertolini’s troops topped Group G of UEFA’s World Cup qualification campaign with 27 points from 10 matches to directly qualify for the main event.
After two decades Italy returned to the world stage in 2019 and Bertolini led her nation to the best World Cup campaign to date as they reached the last eight before bowing out to eventual finalists Norway.
In 2023, they have played four friendlies and won two of them. While they lost to Belgium and England, the Blues won against South Korea and Columbia respectively.
In the World Cup, they have been drawn in Group G with the Netherlands, Vietnam and the United States.
